Something new has happened in the entrepreneurial environment in Bulgaria over the past year. It was joined by the first class of graduates of the master's degree programme in Entrepreneurship in Varna (a joint project of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and BEC (Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center). It uses study materials from Stanford and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) training courses.
The summer school "Tourism - A Factor for Sustainable Social Development" starts at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Students and lecturers from Georgia Technical University in Tbilisi will participate in it for a week.
The Rector of Varna Free University Prof. Dr. Peter Hristov presented certificates to the participants and lecturers at the XI International Qualification School "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language". Thank you letters to the rectors of the 12 European Universities which sent teams at the School were given. The 11th edition of the Russian School ended with words of warmth and appreciation to the organizers and hosts of Varna Free University. Earlier in the day, the teams and their leaders were given awards.
Teacher training in the new school subject "Computer Modeling", set in the curriculum of 3rd and 4th grades, will be held by Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" before the start of the new academic year. The training will be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Momcheva - one of the authors of the Computer Modeling Program and Head of the Department of Informatics at Varna Free University. The course is for teachers of Informatics and Information Technology, in accordance with REGULATION No. 15 from July 22, 2019 on the status and professional development of teachers, headmasters and other pedagogical specialists from the Ministry of Education and Science. The duration of the training is 32 hours and will be held in Varna, Sofia and Smolyan. Upon successful completion of the course, teachers will receive a certificate with 2 qualification credits, access to the resources required in the training process, and certificates of compliance of the course to key and digital competencies.
The final presentation of the cyber magicians' projects to their parents took place today at the Youth Center - Varna. The last two groups of school students from Varna presented their developments on cyber security and safety in a digital environment. The children showed a recycled glowing-eyed robot made of plastic bottles, a board game, a design of a cyber magician's cardboard room, games and comics in the Scratch program and various coding and color presentations.
The academic management of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" in the person of its President - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov and the Rector - Prof. Dr. Peter Hristov awarded the executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Vladimir Kochin a honorary diploma for his contribution to the development of Russian-Bulgarian cooperation in the field of education, science and culture and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Russian Center of VFU. This happened during the International Qualification School "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" held at the university. For the 11th consecutive year, the event brings together young Russicists from the most prestigious European universities, led by their desire to study and teach Russian. The school is supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Rossotrudnichestvo Agency in Bulgaria and is conducted under the patronage of the President of Varna Free University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krasimir Nedyalkov.

Anna Nedyalkova with a badge of honor of the Russkiy Mir Foundation for her outstanding contribution to the development of Russian -Bulgarian humanitarian cooperation and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Center at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".
The 11th International Qualification School "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language", which is one of the most successful projects of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and the Russkiy Mir Foundation, will be held at the university from 19 to 23 August. The event will be attended personally by Vladimir Kochin, executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, who will open the forum on 19 August (Monday) at 11.15 am at the Russian Centre of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
