
As part of the festive programme, on May 15th, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., a presentation of academic programmes and educational opportunities offered by Bulgarian universities will take place in front of the building of the Municipality of Sliven.

The Japanese architect Yoshi Yamazaki and the architect Nadia Ivanova delivered a public lecture organized in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”.

On May 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition “Snapshot” will open at the Art Salon of Radio Varna, marking the beginning of the “Month of Architecture.”

The initiative brought together students from key schools in Varna, including members of the “NahODKi” editorial board and the complex’s Graphic Design Studio.

Representing the university at the initiative were Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Tankova, Student Council Chairperson Toni Bidzhonov, and Maria Kafedzi, a student in the English-taught International Business programme.

Welcome to the exhibition Snapshot, showcasing the annual achievements of students majoring in the Graphic Design programme at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”. The opening will take place on May 12th, 2026, at the Art Salon of Radio Varna.

On May 11th, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., the Aula Maxima at Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” will host a screening of the documentary film Eighth Primorski Regiment. Prior to the screening, some of the film’s creators will visit the university to share insights into the historical research, creative process, and directorial work behind the project.

Varna Free University is a key partner in the training of security specialists in Turkey and in building a sustainable disaster-response model for the Black Sea region. News of the first meeting under the project “Black Sea Unites Against Natural Disasters” was widely covered by the Turkish media.

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar”, the university welcomed lecturers from two major Turkish partner institutions under the Erasmus+ programme - Prof. Dr. Hava Metlioğlu from Çukurova University and Assist. Prof. Dr. Beyza Boyacı from İzmir Katip Çelebi University.
