VARNA RESIDENTS DELIGHTED BY THE NEW RELIEF MAP OF THE SEASIDE GARDEN, MADE BY A VFU STUDENT
27/07/2019Today, Kristiyan Ivanov, a VFU fifth-year student, majoring in Architecture, unveiled the Relief Map of the Historical Core of the Seaside Garden in Varna, on which he and his team has been working for two years. The financing of the project involve Varna Free University, the Culture Fund of Varna Municipality and Kristiyan’s family.
LEADING CHOREOGRAPHERS TRAIN LOVERS OF THE BULGARIAN FOLKLORE AT VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY
25/07/2019Dance workshop on Bulgarian folklore will be held from 2 to 4 August at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". Lovers of the Bulgarian rhythms from all over the country will take part in it. For three days the dancers will master new steps and combinations under the supervision of the professors from the "Choreography" major at Varna Free University - Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov - a choreographer from the Academic Dance Theater at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katya Kayryakova, who is also the chief artistic director of Shumen Ensemble. Part of the training will be taught by Mario Egov - director and choreographer at the famous professional folklore ensemble "Strandja". Each of the lecturers will show traditional but unpopular hora (circle dances), and the clubs will enrich their repertoire and skills.

25/07/2019Kristian Ivanov - a student in Architecture at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar” made a relief map of the Seaside Garden in Varna. It will be officially opened on the day of the Liberation of Varna - July 27, at 11.00.The management of Varna Free University supported Kristian's idea and co-sponsored it together with the Culture Fund of Varna Municipality.

19/07/2019The training of young sportspeople and sports journalists under the project Bulgaria: Against Aggression in Sports started with a clink of medals. The start was given by Yani Yanev - chairperson of the Management Board of the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Varna and vice president of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar". A special greeting to the forum was sent by Rumyana Neykova - Olympic rowing champion and honorary member of the academic staff of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar". The opening of the forum was also honoured by Penka Anastasova - an expert at the Sports Directorate of Varna Municipality. In 2019, Varna has been declared European city of sport.

CIBER MAGICIANS WILL DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE INTERNET
11/07/2019Students from "Nayden Gerov" Primary School and Hristo Botev Primary School in Varna will present to their parents the secrets of cyberspace they have learned during the last two weeks within the framework of the project "Cyber magicians". The event will take place on Friday - July 12, at 5 pm at Mladeshki Dom in Varna. During the meeting, the lecturers from Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" will provide parents with useful information about security and how to avoid the dangers in the digital environment that their children use. The educational project is implemented by the Directorate "Education and Youth Activities" of Varna Municipality and Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar".
VARNA FREE UNIVERSITY WITH A VERY HIGH SCORE FOR INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION
09/07/2019Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" received the highest score for institutional accreditation - 9, 21 (under the ten-point system) by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. In accordance with the Higher Education Act, the accreditation of the university is for a maximum of six years - until 2025. The score of VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar” is higher than the one received in 2013. In the context of the received institutional accreditation, NEAA has given a positive assessment of the distance learning environment at VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar".

04/07/2019On 12 and 13 June 2019, at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Habar", the fourth partnership meeting under the project Applications and Web Content Accessibility Training - AWCAT №2017-1-PL01-KA203-038820 was held under the Erasmus + Programme, KD2 "Strategic Partnerships" of the EU. The meeting was attended by representatives of all partner organizations from Poland, Austria and Bulgaria.
